How to Help Your Child Who is Struggling with Their Faith

We often feel like if our child is struggling in the gospel, there is something that needs to be fixed or changed about them. But what if the change you want to see in your children were to come from changing yourself? Coach Tina Gosney feels one of the best ways to help your child in their faith struggles and with their emotions is to be good at handling your own struggles and emotions. When a parent can have control and authority over themselves, they are better able to teach and model that same ability for their children.  If you feel like your child might be having faith struggles and you are looking for answers on how to help them, the answer may be looking you back every morning in the mirror. Come listen as Tina talks about how to better control your emotions as a parent and some areas you can develop in yourself which will directly help your child not only in their faith struggle but all areas of their emotional life.

Improving Your Life By Living in Sync with Your Menstrual Cycle

Almost every mature woman on this earth has a menstrual cycle and many of those women will have menstrual cycles on a monthly basis for an average of forty years of their lives. But knowing these facts has not helped society at large come to better understand the menstrual cycle and how to track it so that women can be functioning at their highest energy levels and resting at their lowest. Thus, so many women feel defeated because of their menstrual cycle and are therefore not reaching their highest potential. Coach Jody Long focuses on coaching women with ADHD and chronic overwhelm. In her work with these women she has found that having them track their cycles and learn their body’s natural ebbs and flows can help them perform better and understand themselves so they can have compassion instead of self loathing. She and Heather talk about the importance of women tuning into their bodies' natural cycles and how doing so can make women the best experts on their bodies. This episode is enlightening and it’s not just for women.

Parenting Anxious Teens

So many times in life, a solution is found when someone is ready for a solution or is allowed to come up with a solution on their own. Allowing a teen who is struggling with anxiety to desire help or voice what they need can be difficult for parents and even cause the parent to have anxiety about their child’s anxiety. Coach Daelene Byam helps teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety and she has found that parents have the most success when they don’t try to push help and change onto their child but allow space and time for the child to come to them for help. She speaks encouragingly to parents who have children who struggle with anxiety and gives some great tips on the podcast so a child’s anxiety is much less likely to cause parental anxiety.

Why You THINK Something is Wrong with You

We can often get swept up in doing all the “things” and when we are doing all said “things” and our lives start not going as planned, we can believe there is something wrong with us. We find ourselves in a place where the circumstances outside of us are deciding our worth and value in the world. College age kids are no exception to this way of thinking. They can often get really caught up in doing all the “things” and then end up having a lot of anxiety when things aren’t working out as they had hoped. If you are a parent to college age children or a college student yourself who is feeling down because all the things you are doing seem to not be going to plan you are definitely going to want to come listen to the wisdom our youngest coach in the directory has to offer. Caleb Price loves coaching college age kids to help them start thinking instead of doing their way to success. Caleb is a firm believer that Heavenly Father always desires what we desire or something better and he wants to help all college age kids really believe that and see it happen in their lives.

The Possibilities When We Know Our True Identity

As a woman in the Church it is often easy to see the things we should be desiring in our lives. We know we should get an education, get married in the temple, have children and raise them in the gospel. But outside of those things, is there anything else our Heavenly Parents have in store for their daughters? Coach Annette Jones would emphatically say, “Yes!”   We women fill many roles in our lives, student, wife, mother, missionary, party planner extraordinaire! But those are just roles, not actually who we are.  Who we truly are are daughters of Heavenly Parents and when we can come to really internalize and know that, then roles and possibilities within those roles are endless. What if all the desires we want to fulfill are invitations from God to work with Him and our Heavenly Mother to make something great together? What if they are just excited as can be to join with us in a fun and amazing project that they know will not only elevate us but everyone around us? Annette wants all women to see this true identity in themselves so they can truly live into the daughter they were made to be. She knows that tapping into our true identity is the key to finding lasting joy and happiness in the desires we have and roles we fill. If you are looking for guidance, direction, and perhaps even permission, to go after your desires because that’s exactly how your Heavenly Parents intended it to be, then you won’t want to miss this episode.

Learning to Be Present

In a world that is swirling and on the go at a rapid and constant pace, it can be very difficult to be in the presence of what is right in front of you. But it is presence that actually allows us to more fully partake of the life we want to live.  Coach Denita Bremer defines presence as the state of being fully in the moment physically, emotionally, and spiritually, right here and now. When we can drop into this space is when we have less resistance and anxiety and more flow and ease. Christ was a great example of living in the present. Denita so beautifully shares that He was able to do this because He had learned that Being the Son of God is what gave Him His power, not what He accomplished in His life. The same is true for us. Our power comes from who we are, not what we do.  So come listen to the podcast today and learn some great tips on how to be present so that you can access the true power of who you are instead of what you do or do not do in your life.

Unconditional Love For Your Daughter-in-Law

The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship can be some of the most fraught relationships in our lives. Why is this? Well there are many reasons, ranging from how this relationship is portrayed by the media, what one thinks about the relationship upon entering it, comparison between one's relationship and others like it, and how one's own relationship is with their mother-in-law. But even with all the odds stacked against the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship, it can be a beautiful one that is fulfilling to both parties.  Coach LeAnn Austin has been both the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law and while those relationships didn’t start off being great she has come to learn ways to make them amazing. She wants to pass this knowledge onto each of you and has created a special course on how you as a mother-in-law can have a great relationship with your daughter-in-law. LeAnn believes in the end we all just want to have a great relationship with those in our lives and working on that relationship is worth the time and effort.

Selfie Love

We live in a day and age where people are constantly sharing parts of themselves with others. Social media is meant for sharing our lives, our likes, our accomplishments, our heartaches, and so much more. And yet, many of us shy away from sharing who we truly are. We fear that who we truly are isn’t enough. That if we share too much of ourselves it could possibly make others feel less than.  Coach Davina Fear believes the opposite is true. She thinks that when we don’t share our true self - the essence of what makes us us - we are not showing up in the way God has intended us to be and we are depriving others of our greatness. God is a God of growth, expansion, and more. The world truly needs more of us, not less of us. And it certainly does not need a watered down version of who we really are. Davina wants all women to show up and share who they really are and so she has developed a course on how to take selfies that showcase ones uniqueness. It has helped so many women share the true versions of themselves and she wants to share what she’s learned with each of you.
