Abraham is a hero! I mean, not everyone has a covenant named after them, right? There several things that we can learn from the life of Abraham to also be considered, like he was “a friend of God”. 😇
Sometimes I’m guilty of thinking that a Christian life has to be a hard life– that if we’re not suffering, we’re not doing it right. That is why I love scriptural reminders that life with God is actually a whole lot easier than life without Him.
What a crazy chapter! Can righteous people be deceived? We humans are a messy bunch aren’t we? Thank goodness there is a merciful, all-knowing God who still accomplishes his will…even when we get in the way and try and help in very clumsy, myopic ways.
