What is ok and not ok to do on the Sabbath day can be answered in a few very instructive verses.

What is ok and not ok to do on the Sabbath day can be answered in a few very instructive verses.
As Moses and Aaron prepared to enter the tabernacle, there were certain clothing items that they wore that were very symbolic and a reminder of those “glorious and beautiful” covenants. So grateful that the Lord has done the same for us today.
As Moses is helping the children of Israel make and keep covenants with God, he does a pretty crazy object lesson that has deep spiritual meaning for us.
There’s a lot of crazy things in the Law of Moses. But even those laws doesn’t cover everything. There are some things where the law cannot be fulfilled by you and you need a Savior to “make it good.
The last six of the 10 Commandments may seem like they deal with behaviors that are in the extreme - killing, stealing, lying, etc. But if we understand the root of why the Lord asks us not to do these things these things will never be a problem for us.
The Lord is so wants to bless his children and bring them into his presence to have a relationship with him. To properly do that, we need to understand our relationship with him and our relationship with others.
If there were to be a “thesis statement” for the entire Old Testament, it could arguably be found in Exodus chapter 19. And the lesson is no different for members of the church today.
Have you ever thought about the phrase “I God am a jealous God“? I don’t believe it is what it appears to be on the surface, but rather a beautiful way of helping us build a relationship with him.
To anyone who is called to be a leader in the church, you will appreciate the message found in Exodus 18.
The Easter hymn of all Easter hymns in my opinion is “He is Risen”. Such inspiring words! And what should we do? “Tell it out with joyful voice!”
