Matthew 5; Luke 6
By this point in His ministry, it was clear that Jesus’s teachings would be unlike what the people of His time were used to hearing…and what a blessing that message had been to the world!
Welcome to The BOM-BITES Come Follow Me Podcast! Each weekday, we share a short (generally less than 10 minutes) episode to help you “feast upon the words ONE BITE AT A TIME” as you study Come Follow Me as an individual or as a family. If you’d like to see the video that corresponds with each video, check us out on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram by searching “BOMSocks” or @bomsocks. And while you’re at it, please go check out our amazingly comfortable gospel-themed socks at www.BOMSocks.com. BOM-BITES is a service from BOMSocks and is not an official program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What is it about John 3:16 that makes it such an iconic, perhaps even THE most iconic verse that Christians use to proclaim their love of God to the world?
John 3 contains a lot of powerful one liners that can help us all change things in our lives to become more like the Savior.
When Jesus cleanses the temple, the word “anger” isn’t used anywhere in this story…but another powerful emotion is referred to, and our lives would be so blessed if we had that same emotion for the temple in our lives. If you’d like to view the video that goes with this podcast, click here

Sometimes when those who we know really well are called upon to do incredible things, we are tempted to look at how we know them, and not as who they really are in the eyes of God.
One of the best ways to overcome temptation and it’s effects is to find a way to reach out and minister to others.
Matthew 4 not only shows how Satan tempts us, but it also shows us how to defend ourselves so we can dismiss the devil.
