It’s one thing to know that service is important, but as we truly start to look outside ourselves and serve one another, “happy are ye if ye do them”.
The singing of the hymns has little to do with how well we can sing - it is a form of worship and can be one of the best ways to prepare our minds to become “sacred“ as we are prepare for that most holy of moments each week with the sacrament. When we humbly ask the question “Is it I?“, it can open up all kinds of opportunities for our lives to get better.
Whatever you give - if it is your ALL, it is enough. You have done what you could...and the Lord is pleased with your efforts.
How we love and treat our fellowmen will play a big role in our preparation for the Savior’s Second Coming.
When we are given talents, we’re not always sire what to do with them. But this much is for sure - we all must take time to share them.
Quiet, steady attention to our present duties will make it so when our own spiritual “check oil light” comes on, we’ll be able consistently take care of it.
If we will all focus on spending time daily with the Lord treasuring up the scriptures, the elect will be less likely to be deceived.
