The symbols in Revelation 1 can teach us a lot about Jesus Christ, including who He is, what He does for us, and what He is like.
You don’t have to understand every symbol in the Book of Revelation to understand its important and basic themes, including its most prominent theme: Jesus Christ and His followers will triumph over the kingdoms of men and of Satan.
When we “contend” for the faith, it doesn’t mean that we need to be “contentious” about it.
There is truly no greater joy than when we see our children are walking in truth; but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the opposite of that is also true.
Love God, Love People. And the order in which we do it is crucial to us becoming better at both.
Once we truly understand how Jesus Christ is our “advocate” and “propitiation”, then we will love and trust Him even more.

When we remember and understand the divine nature within us, every other identifier becomes very temporary.
