When it comes to navigating our way to the Tree of Life, continually holding fast - “hand o’er hand” to the iron rod, is the most effective way to get there.
The Tree of Life is a representation of Jesus Christ, and the iron rod will help us truly come unto Him. We must do everything we can to avoid the mists of darkness that will keep us from getting to know Him better.
Forgiving others may be the most difficult thing for someone to do, but in doing it - we are able to truly move forward and “travel on our journey”.
How we choose to ACT and respond to others in adversity can strengthen our relationship with them and their relationship with God.
If when we don’t know how things will turn out, our previous experiences with the Lord can give us enough faith toe move forward.
When we stop murmuring, the Lord will enable us to “go and do” the hard things in our lives.
Nephi’s famous simple statement about his father dwelling in a tent can have significant meaning in our lives.
How would our lives be different if Nephi had not “made a record of his proceedings” so we could look for the tender mercies of the Lord in his writings? If you’d like to view the video that goes with this podcast, click here
