As we wrap up season 2 of The Apple Seed we look back at some of our favorite stories from the season:
Oscar Wilde's classic ghost story The Canterville Ghost from 1887 is about a fearsome ghost named Simon de Canterville who has haunted an ancient English castle and terrified the locals for centuries. However, he is flummoxed by the castle's newest owners: a family of Americans who don't seem to be frightened of him.
Every year we have a tradition with our BYUradio family to share Christmas memories and stories. Today's episode features our 2022 BYUradio Family Christmas special, as we gather with Sam Payne, Lisa Valentine Clark, Steven Kapp Perry, Julie Rose, and Marcus Smith--who are the hosts of all the wonderful shows found on BYUradio--and share wonderful Christmas stories with one another.
Have you ever wondered how Santa Claus is able to do all he does? How he travels the world in one night? Or how he manages to deliver presents to every kid in the world? These questions are asked by children all over the world, and there have been many explanations given to try and make sense of the magic of Santa Claus. Playwright Tim Slover was asked the same questions by his own kids. In trying to find the perfect response, Tim created "The Christmas Chronicles", an 8 episode podcast that tells the story of how Santa Claus is able to do everything he does at Christmas time. We are excited to share the first episode of that series with you today on The Apple Seed.
December is a magical time of year where the spirit of Christmas seems to ring loud and clear every day. We wake up refreshed and renewed in anticipation for presents, Christmas trees decorated with ornaments and lights, all of our favorite Christmas goodies, and most importantly, the happiness and spirit that Christmas brings into our lives.
On today's episode of The Apple Seed, we are excited to bring you stories all about connecting with others. We believe the power of stories can bring people together no matter how different we may seem on the outside. There is always something more we can learn about those around us, and all it takes is a story to bring it out. Today's stories feature all kinds of people connecting with their loved ones.
It's Thanksgiving! Here at the Apple Seed, we are thankful for stories of all kinds. We love to share stories that can help spark memories for you that you can share with the people that you love.
On today's podcast episode of The Apple Seed we have stories all about friendship and integrity. Learning how to be a good friend is something that we learn all through our lives, and it takes a lot. It takes courage to stand up for our friends and integrity to be kind in our conversations about them.
Stories come in all shapes and sizes, and they come from tellers of all kinds. Today we have stories told in different ways: through words, through artwork, and through song. Each story is unique in how it is told and what we can learn from it.
At one time or another, we've had to deal with people that we don't get along with. Whether it be dealing with annoying people, putting up with siblings, or just trying to hold our tongue from saying something we might regret, we all know how it feels to be tested by others.
