Genesis 11: 1-9

The Tower of Babel is such an interesting story. You’ve got a group of people who are trying to get into the presence of God by doing things their own way rather than doing them the way God wants them to do it.  There’s definitely a valuable lesson there for you and me in our desires to get closer to God.

Genesis 9, Moses 7

It must have been pretty frustrating for Noah to invite all to get in the ark and to have them ignore his counsel.  I’m so grateful for a modern-day Noah who is not only inviting us to do the same thing, but asking us to “flood the earth” with messages of goodness in hopes that they will choose to get in the ark and choose to stay.

Change My Mind

Have you ever seen a meme or a booth that says, “Change my mind?” Perhaps, “The Star Wars Prequels are the best. Change my mind,” or, “It's a crime to wear socks to bed. Change my mind.” Point being: we daily encounter strong opinions, or may face the firm opposition of, “Change my mind.” Perhaps we are even the one who feels that way! Today’s collection of stories explores ways in which people change their minds. Storytellers Kevin Carr, Joan Stockbridge, and Syd Lieberman persuade us to think in new ways, and to discover truths that humility might teach us. But one thing is for sure: The Apple Seed is the best. Change my mind.
