Creating Structure Around ADHD

We live in a world that is fast paced and has rules as to how things should operate and what is and isn’t acceptable. If you are neurotypical you can easily fit into this world, but if you are neurodivergent, fitting in can be difficult. The same holds true for inside the Church. We have certain ways of operating and how we like to do things. Those who are neurodivergent can find this difficult and can often be labeled as being less faithful. Coach Kamden Hainsworth is on the podcast today talking about what it’s like to be neurodivergent by having ADHD in the world and in the Church and how those who are neurodivergent or those who work with them can learn to support them so that they excel in the Church.

Alma 8–12

In this episode we’ll talk about Alma chapters eight through twelve. We’ll talk about Alma’s initial experience preaching in Ammonihah and his rejection. As the Lord sends him an angel, Alma is comforted and returns to work. We’ll discuss how the Lord is always willing to support and comfort us, but will often wait until the last minute to test our limits and help us grow stronger. We’ll also talk about the power of thoughts, and how reinforcing and prioritizing positive thoughts can have a profound effect over time.
