Growing Through Conflict

How many times have you reached for your phone and pulled up Google maps to find exactly how to get to where you want to go? Roadmaps are how we reach our desired destination. Not all roadmaps lead to a physical destination. Many of the destinations we wish to reach are things like emotional connection and intimacy with those we love. This is especially true in marriage relationships. But as when we follow Google maps and sometimes take a route we weren’t expecting, there is an unexpected but crucial roadmap in relationships that needs to be followed as well. Coach Crystal Hansen has learned that using conflict as a road map to reach deeper levels of connection and intimacy in marriage is not only normal but necessary. As she says, if you can’t recognize the detours and pitfalls in our relationships and face them head on, that is what leads to the big blowups and problems in the marriage relationship.
