Valuing Agency

Agency, the chance to come to earth and make choices for ourselves is central to The Plan of Salvation. Public Education is in Crisis. Are Elected School Boards the Problem?

Ninety percent of America's kids go to public schools. But public education in America is in crisis, with test scores in every subject at their lowest point in decades. State and federal regulations have a say in what happens in schools, but most critical decisions are left to local school boards. Are elected school boards the root of the problem - or the key to a solution? Funding, facilities, busing, discipline policies, how teachers are placed in the district, and which curricula they use - all overseen by some 15,000 school boards chosen through local elections. Galatians

In this episode we'll talk about the Book of Galatians. Many of the ancient Galatians were Jews who had become converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, in time they started to revert to their old ways, believing that Law of Moses traditions and practices were necessary for salvation. Generally speaking, we don't like change, but the sooner we learn to accept it as part of growth the more peace we are likely to experience. We'll also review the law of the harvest and its implications for mental health.
